Abstract

The use of plastic waste is an alternative management, which allows reincorporating them into the production cycle, providing the opportunity to use them as raw materials susceptible to recover their use value, they also have great importance for the saving of virgin raw materials, and avoid the accumulation of these in the environment, diminishing the negative impacts that by their nature cause. It is proposed to promote the integration of a productive system focused on social and environmental sustainability at the local level, taking advantage of plastic waste generated in the municipality of Villavicencio as raw material for the creation of a product, based on the understanding of the life cycle of the plastic materials. We worked in the municipality of Villavicencio-Meta, through a market research that allowed to characterize suppliers of raw material, products marketed in the market and potential customers, in order to define strategies for the marketing of the proposed product, consolidate sales projections, income and expenses, in order to build a business plan for the use of plastic waste (PP, PEAD, PEB) of the from the municipality of Villavicencio for the manufacture of plastic boxes used in the construction sector, incorporating this waste back into the production cycle, strengthening the economy of a closed cycle.
