Resumen
This research aimed to identify if there is a significant relationship between interpersonal skills and happiness in adolescents in a school in the city of Villavicencio. That is why a non-experimental quantitative research of a correlational descriptive type was carried out in which 221 students of the Alberto Lleras Camargo School participated, who completed three instruments that measured emotional intelligence (TMMS-24), interpersonal skills (ESCI) and happiness (Alarcon’s scale of happiness). Taking into account the data obtained, descriptive and correlation analyzes were performed and it was found that there is no significant relationship between interpersonal skills and happiness, however, from a specific analysis it was possible to identify that there was a significant relationship between personal achievement and interpersonal skills, as well as between causes and personal fulfillment and a negative relationship between positive sense of life and causes Among the main conclusions it is possible to point out that some of the dimensions of happiness (personal fulfillment) are related to interpersonal skills (IS). In turn, the present study is an initial input to continue researching about this regard, as it provides preliminary evidence on the relationship between the dimensions of happiness and interpersonal skills. Theoretical implications and limitations are discussed in the direction of future researches.
