This qualitative research shows the way in which the Business Laboratory as a pedagogical strategy encourages the development of life skills in commercial technical educational institutions of the department of Boyacá, from a socio-critical approach, where subjects are observed in daily life of the school environment, in the administration of the school store, thus creating its own didactics and the right environment for teaching commercial, business and related subjects. This is how they learn to manage their emotions, communicate assertively with people, think collectively and become a participant in solutions for the benefit of their community. For this, they constitute an experimental company, which generates the business environment, based on the observation of the areas of: administration, human, accounting and financial talent, production and markets, which allows them to assume responsibilities, live real situations, take decisions, perform roles and functions, as follows: student, businessman, client, seller, buyer, manager, which gives rise to reasoning factors, product of their observations, analysis, experiences and reflections. For his part, the teacher has didactic means, both from the experimental company and from the Company Laboratory to stimulate the teaching and learning processes, with a view to developing conducts, behaviors and attitudes that allow students to learn significantly, develop critical thinking, capable of taking care of themselves and others, to deal with and assume defiance and adequately face demands and challenges.
