dc.description.abstractIn the development of the project we have sought to replace the wired (Ethernet) connection between a host (pc) and another network device (switch, router, or other pc) by using a wireless optical link. To achieve this, a study was made of the main elements of wireless optical communications, from the transmission medium to the necessary components for the transmission and reception of the signal. The signal used in Ethernet was also analyzed and because it can not be transmitted directly by optical means.
