dc.description.abstractThis article shows an investigative exercise for the design of a didactic unit focused on the teaching of perimeter and area in third grade students, the interest in the teaching and learning process of these two concepts arises when observing throughout my experience As a teacher, difficulties in solving problems are implicit in these concepts. Taking into account that since 2017 many of the study plans were redesigned due to the appearance of the basic learning rights, the need arises to structure a line of teaching of these two concepts throughout the elementary school, therefore in This article shows the design of the didactic unit of the first notions of these concepts, this is based on activities carried out thinking about the age of the children, the logical structuring of the concepts and concrete materials that help the correct apprehension of these concepts, collects previous works related to the subject that overcome the difficulties in teaching and learning these concepts.
