Aproximación al análisis espacial de sitios potencialmente turísticos en el departamento de Boyacá en el periodo 2000 - 2020

Abstract

En Colombia, resulta de vital importancia para la planeación, que la investigación turística se centre en la potencialidad que tienen los lugares a ser turísticos, siendo un país de extrema biodiversidad, con paisajes altamente variados, con una gran amplitud climática, con gran cantidad de regiones biogeográficas, con elevado potencial. En tal sentido, el Departamento de Boyacá, representa en esencia esa diversidad natural que tiene el país y que no es del todo aprovechado, motivo por el cual ha sido escogido como área de estudio de la investigación. El principal objetivo de la investigación refiere a construir una línea de base para el análisis espacial de sitios potencialmente turísticos en el Departamento de Boyacá en el periodo 2000 - 2020. Específicamente, se intentará conformar un esquema de base que sirva como punto de partida para otras investigaciones acerca de análisis espacial de sitios potencialmente turísticos en diferentes zonas del país y del mundo. Para ello, la metodología a implementar en esta investigación contempla técnicas de investigación que están ligadas a la consulta de información bibliográfica, la elaboración de cartografía y gráficos, el análisis estadístico, el análisis comparativo entre sitios turísticos y potencialmente turísticos, la modelación de la propuesta y a la producción cartográfica como producto final. Como resultados principales de este proceso investigativo se presentan un índice de atractividad turística, herramienta de utilidad para el análisis de la viabilidad turística futura de los municipios potencialmente turísticos en el departamento de Boyacá, un decálogo de pasos a seguir para convertir un espacio potencialmente turístico a turístico, la línea de base para el análisis espacial de sitios potencialmente turísticos en el departamento de Boyacá y cartografía del estado actual y futuro del turismo en el departamento. Se concluye que esta investigación sienta un precedente en cuanto a que pone en relevancia el análisis espacial como una herramienta útil para el desarrollo de investigaciones en el análisis del crecimiento de fenómenos económicos, sociales y ambientales como el turismo. Por otra parte, este trabajo representa un punto de partida en próximas investigaciones para la gestión de la actividad turística en otras regiones del país de la región y del mundo.

In this sense, the Department of Boyacá represents in essence the natural diversity that the country has and that is not fully exploited, which is why it has been chosen as the area of study for this research. The main objective of the research is to build a baseline for the spatial analysis of potential tourist sites in the Department of Boyacá in the period 2000 - 2020. Specifically, an attempt will be made to form a baseline scheme that will serve as a starting point for other research on the spatial analysis of potential tourist sites in different areas of the country and the world. For this purpose, the methodology to be implemented in this research contemplates research techniques that are linked to the consultation of bibliographic information, the elaboration of cartography and graphics, statistical analysis, comparative analysis between tourist and potential tourist sites, modeling of the proposal and cartographic production as a final product. The main results of this research process include a tourist attractiveness index, a useful tool for the analysis of the future tourist viability of potentially touristy municipalities in the department of Boyacá, a decalogue of steps to follow to convert a potentially touristy space into a touristy one, the baseline for the spatial analysis of potentially touristy sites in the department of Boyacá, and mapping of the current and future state of tourism in the department. It is concluded that this research sets a precedent in that it highlights spatial analysis as a useful tool for the development of research in the analysis of the growth of economic, social and environmental phenomena such as tourism. On the other hand, this work represents a starting point for future research on the management of tourism activity in other regions of the country, the region and the world
