Introduction: Strength training has been shown to be effective with loads that exceed 70% of 1 RM (Ratamess, et al., 2009), and can also produce muscle hypertrophy. There are various classifications of force in relation to the object of study of this work; Certain types of strength have been selected that support the development of training systems and methods for this ability. General objective: To carry out a bibliographic review about muscle strength and hypertrophy with a nutritional approach to generate clear knowledge about its application in training. Conceptual Framework: The increase in strength is achieved after 8 weeks of training, which must be done continuously to maintain the benefits achieved. If training is stopped for a period (8-12 weeks), various acquired muscular adaptations may return to baseline values. (Faigenbaum & Behringer, 2013) Methodology: This systematic review corresponds to the search and analysis of available literature in specialized databases, under guidelines that are denoted in the PRISMA methodology. Discussion: The stimulus is the particular response that is provided by the exercise, that is, the type and intensity in which the training is performed, protein synthesis depends on the work time and the rest that the individual has. Conclusions: The basis for a person to develop strength and hypertrophy are planned training, adequate nutrition and rest.
