Resumen
An overview of the field of study called behavioral economics is presented, taking the initial proposal of Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky (1979; 1982; 1984) as point of departure. It has been useful for understanding different aspects of human behavior in the context of decision-making -and particularly to the field of experimental research in economics-. The general objectives and principles of the developed model as well as the general methodology used for research are presented. Moreover, the model’s implications for future studies and its practical application are included.
