Landscape Perception from the Tourist's View of Some Urban Transformation Spaces of Medellin, Colombia

The urban intervention policies have contributed to the revitalization of different cities around the world, generating tourism-focused areas in urbanistically ransformed territories and some with characteristics of precarious settlements. This article presents the results of the research on the visitor's perception in the territories of urban transformation in Medellin, Colombia. A descriptive research strategy of mixed approach was used. The main findings show that the study areas are frequented by international tourists (68 %), who have higher levels of interaction with the local population (67 %) and consume more frequently products and services offered by this local population (65 %).
