Abstract

Within the university life, the trajectories of students, graduates, teachers and researchers are traversed by the use of diverse languages throughout their academic and professional journeys. The status of languages at the higher level is determined by their instrumental value as a gateway to other knowledge and cultures in relation to disciplines and objects of study of interest; Therefore, languages acquire a transversal character as disciplinary knowledge, since they inhabit the different spaces of knowledge and research.
