Resumen
Within the frame of the research project "Tools for coexistence and peacebuilding in the school", sponsored by the Colombian Ministry of Science and Technology, Grant 808, for Science, technology and innovation and their contribution to the country challenges, we developed tools that contribute to streghten peacebuilding skills among teachers through conflict management. Eco-GesTE, is a virtual learning environment for teachers that intended for the training of skills for the transformation and management of the school environment that holds three parts: First, there are eleven Virtual Learning Scenarios (EVAs in spanish), built on the basis of qualitative research findings, oriented toward the improvement of social interaction and socio-pedagogical skills in teachers. These scenarios are built for independent work and are currently available at https://eco-geste.herokuapp.com/. Second, there is a toolbox booklet that facilitates working with relevant conceptual and practical tools for an integral approach to conflict. Third, another booklet proposes a series of workshops that invite to a collective reflection and facilitate self-assessment of cultural aspects that may affect conflict management and school climate. It is useful, for guiding the collective dialogue among those who are part of the schoolwork team. In all, to promote skill development and reflection among school-teams, we have developed the PRIMARELI methodology. In four steps it: (1) Problematizes, dayly life situations that may entail social dilemmas (2) Imagines, innovative ways to face these situations informed on conceptual and practical tools (3) Solves through debate and collective reflection and (4) Develops new scripts through negotiation and collective agreement on the best ways to manage school coexistence. We start from the principle, and with the hope, that the collective effort to improve the developmental environment of those who are part of each school community will offer an opportunity to build a better coexistence tomorrow.
