Abstract

For lovers of good soccer, idols will always be eternals. This is a reality that is immortalized in the historical sports archives, in the showcases where the soccer clubs titles rest and in the appreciation of the fans. However, the other side of the coin shows that professional soccer, sooner or later, ends for the footballer and, with it, oblivion often comes. The sporting career of a soccer player is so short and so human as to be vulnerable to mistakes, old age and pain. At that precise moment, when retirement arrives, the Colombian footballer begins to walk the path from being a soccer idol to becoming a paper idol.
