Resumen
Facing the new challenges of global security requires reflecting on new strategies, with a view to promoting international cooperation. The foregoing suggests addressing a perspective of cooperation focused on a greater inclusion of non-state actors, such as women, who manage to impact the processes aimed at solving global problems. On the one hand, there are few studies that allow us to explore the challenges, challenges and opportunities faced by women in leadership positions; It is not just about having them, but about making them count (It is not only a matter of counting women but also of making women count) (Paffenholz, Ross et al., 2016). On the other hand, there is a growing interest in addressing case studies that account for the role of women in decision-making processes on issues of foreign policy, international activism, epistemic communities, international and non-governmental organizations, transnational networks and movements. local organizations that can influence the resolution of global problems. 1Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá. 2 Social Sciences University of Ankara, Turkey.
