Resumen
This special multimedia gives voice to the riverside communities that live between the land and the waters of the middle and lower Magdalena (amphibians), which historically have suffered the consequences of the implementation of projects in favor of navigability. After visiting the municipalities of Gamarra, San Pablo, Cantagallo, Puerto Wilches, Mahates, Soplavientos and Repelón, this report shows the socio-environmental impacts of these works and the response of the different actors in the territory. Likewise, it seeks to understand if the conditions of the riverside populations can improve or not with the implementation of the megaproject for the recovery of navigability, which includes an investment of 1.39 billion pesos to guarantee navigation between Barrancabermeja (Santander) and Bocas de Ceniza (Barranquilla) through intervention works in the river.
