Resumen
This thesis problematizes and contributes with elements that enrich the analysis of the conditions that made the conformation of the social field of rehabilitation in Colombia possible. For this, the historical-critical analysis will focus on human occupation, understood as a device of power, within the framework of social and political transformations, during the first half of the 20th century. The methodological approach of this study is historical and the problematization is carried out from the Theory of the Sociology of the Professions of González Leandri (1999), The Theory of Fields of Pierre Bourdieu (1987, 1988 and 1991) and the Theory of Power of Michelle Foucault (1963, 1966, 1969 and 1980). This thesis was conceived and is part of the research line of historical socio-anthropological studies in the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences, in order to understand and argue rehabilitation as a social field, in the terms of Pierre Bourdieu's sociology.
