This paper I tried to confront the problem caused by the tension between to the so-called organizational context and the liberal and egalitarian sense of “autonomy”. In the first part I present some statements about the main element of the organizational context that these the corporate values in order to show their meaning for people. In the second part I derive some conclusion about the possibilities and restriction of sun management programs that are centered in values. In the third part, I intent to answer to an apparent dilemma between the “communitarian” fundaments of these management programs and the “pluralistic” claim for the people’s autonomy. Face this dilemma I conclude trying to show that: a) Individuals recognized as autonomous are the only ones that could committed themselves with corporate programs centered on values, and b) For this reason firms ought to management organizational context in order to promote this autonomy
