¿Instalación o Consolidación Democrática en Bolivia? Un Análisis del Impacto del Gobierno de Evo Morales Sobre la Profundización de la Democracia Boliviana

Abstract

This document presents synthetically the most important facts that have affected Bolivian politics in the last years. Firstly, we study the Bolivian political culture's main nuances that are linked to a feeling of territorial weakness, a frustration of the 1952 Revolution, the politization of ethnic affairs and the 1994 political reform. Secondly, we describe the political process that ended in the Evo Morales election. Finally, we explore possible scenarios in the foreseeable future for Bolivian democratic consolidation.
