This research studied the effect that a core training program has on the variables of forehand throwing in ultimate frisbee athletes from a mixed elite team in Bogota. The methodological design consisted of a quasi-experimental study in which data was obtained from core resistance strength tests, launch and reception technique test, effectiveness test of backhand and forehand throws, hamstring isometric strength test and the rate of perceived exertion (RPE); each one was evaluated in two moments of the Core training program, pre-intervention and post-intervention. The analysis was performed using parametric statistics with a measure of central tendency (mean) and variance (standard deviation), and Student`s T-Test with a 95% confidence interval and standard error. At the end, a Pearson correlation coefficient was performed between the experimental variables to explain their possible impact on changes in launch technique and launch effectiveness. The results showed that the core training program applied in ultimate frisbee is a good strategy to strengthen the muscles of the central region and favors the generation of greater power and speed in the launch, although there are no differences in accuracy. No significant results were found linking stability and load transfer in lower limbs to reduced risk of anterior cruciate ligament injury. The planning of core training must follow a logical sequence that involves stability, endurance, strength and power, which can be measured according to the intensity using RPE. Research in conditions of isolation due to pandemic requires multiple digital tools to bring each athlete closer to the reality of the game.
