Dicho estudio de accesibilidad geográfica sería aplicado al Área Metropolitana Centro Occidente (Pereira, Dosquebradas y La Virginia) perteneciente al departamento de Risaralda – Colombia; para lo cual se implementaría el método mejorado de área de captación flotante de dos pasos (E2SFCA por sus siglas en inglés) que permite identificar aquellas zonas en las cuales no existe una adecuada cobertura desde los servicios de atención médica para un radio de influencia de 15 minutos de viaje. dc.description.abstractDue to the increased demand for health care services since 2020 in the world, becomes of vital importance to analyze those external factors that affect the attention of patients in hospitals and clinics, for which this final master’s degree is proposed as a means of analyzing in terms of geographic accessibility the current state they would be having with respect to medical supplies and beds, and the improvements that would need to be undertaken to achieve the indicators of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for this aspects, considering these indicators are not calculated on the basis of an analysis of geographic accessibility. This geographic accessibility study would be applied to the Central West Metropolitan Area (Pereira, Dosquebradas and La Virginia) belonging to the department of Risaralda – Colombia for which would be implemented the enhanced two step floating catchment area (E2SFCA) that identifies those areas without proper coverage from the medical care services within 15 minutes’ radius of influence of traveling time.
