dc.description.abstractObjective: Determine the effectiveness of a nursing intervention, focused on the use of general resistance resources, to improve therapeutic adherence in adults with high blood pressure when compared with the usual care of a program. Methods: Quasi-experimental study in a sample of 153 adults with Arterial Hypertension, with a control group (n = 78) that received the usual care and an experimental group (n = 75) that received the adapted intervention “deploying my own resources”. The main outcome was the adherence measured in the pre-test and post-test using the Questionnaire to measure Adherence in patients with Hypertension (TAQPH) validated in Colombia. This research has an approval of the institutional ethics committee. The patients signed informed consent for participating in the study. Results: In the experimental group, a statistically significant difference in the total adherence score and in the dimensions of medications, diet, exercise, weight control, stimulants and stress was observed in the post-test (p<0.001) among the experimental group, with a delta of the final total adherence score of 9.4 (IC 95%: 8.60; 10.28). Conclusions: The adapted intervention “deploying my own resources is useful to improve adherence in adults with Hypertension, and is applicable to practice.
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la efectividad de una intervención de enfermería, centrada en el uso de los recursos generales de resistencia, para mejorar la adherencia terapéutica en adultos con hipertensión arterial, al compararla con la atención habitual de un programa. Métodos: Estudio de tipo cuasiexperimental en una muestra de 153 adultos con hipertensión arterial, con grupo control (n = 78) que recibió atención habitual y grupo experimental (n = 75) que recibió la intervención adaptada “Desplegando mis recursos personales”. El principal desenlace fue la adherencia medida en la preprueba y posprueba utilizando el “Cuestionario adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con hipertensión arterial” (TAQPH por su sigla en inglés), validado en Colombia. El estudio contó con el aval de comité de ética institucional y empleó el consentimiento informado. Resultados: En el grupo experimental, se observó en la posprueba una diferencia estadísticamente significativa en el puntaje total de adherencia y en las dimensiones de medicamentos, dieta, ejercicio, control del peso, estimulantes y el estrés (p<0.001), con un delta del puntaje total de adherencia final de 9,4 (IC 95%: 8,60; 10,28). Conclusiones: se comprueba la efectividad de la intervención adaptada “Desplegando mis recursos personales” para mejorar la adherencia en adultos con hipertensión arterial, por lo cual es aplicable a la práctica.
