Sensorineural or sudden hearing loss is defined as a sensorineural hearing loss of 30dB or more in at least three contiguous audiometric frequencies that occurs in less than 72 hours, it has become one of the common causes in the audiology consultation. The majority of patients with SNHL do not have an identifiable cause of hearing loss, for which the idiopathic connotation occurs, however, within the etiologies are vascular, tumor, immunological, and infectious lesions. This is an analytical, prospective study with sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Infiltrates with intratympanic corticosteroid therapy, with dexamethasone as a cold caloric test. An association was found between the speed variables of the slow phase of nystagmus and hearing recovery. Oculography was used.
