dc.description.abstract | La fascia es un tejido fundamental en el ser humano, da forma, delimita, conecta y regula muchos procesos. La fascia se ha visto tradicionalmente como un tejido de sostén. Desde la primera descripción de la fascia se han hecho grandes cambios tanto en
su concepto como en el entendimiento de su función en el organismo. Se describirá
este tejido desde el punto de vista de varias ciencias hasta llegar a la visión integrativa
de la osteopatía. En este trabajo se discutirá como se encuentra distribuida la fascia
en el organismo, sus más recientes propiedades fisiológicas, histológicas y de mecanotransducción; y finalmente el impacto positivo de la osteopatía al manipular este
tejido en patologías mecánicas osteomusculares, inflamatorias, inmunes, emocionales, quirúrgicas, etc; su utilidad en espacios intra y extrahospitalarias, en conjunto con
otros manejos médicos o como tratamiento único. Y los desafíos actuales que enfrenta la osteopatía para darle a la fascia la importancia al significado vital que cumple. | |
dc.description.abstract | Fascia is a essential tissue in the human being, it shapes, delimits, connects and regulates many processes. Fascia has traditionally been viewed as a support tissue. Since
the first description of the fascia, great changes have been made both in its concept
and in the understanding of its function in the organism. This tissue will be described
from the point of view of various sciences until reaching the integrative vision of osteopathy. This work will discuss how fascia is distributed in the organism, its most
recent physiological, histological and mechanotransduction properties; and finally the
positive impact of osteopathy when manipulating this tissue in inflammatory, immune,
emotional, surgical pathologies, etc; its usefulness in intrahospital and out-of-hospital
spaces, in conjunction with other medical procedures or as sole treatment. And the
current challenges facing osteopathy to give fascia importance to the vital meaning it
fulfills. | |
