dc.description.abstractEl Liderazgo Transformacional y su relación con el Desempeño Organizacional en las oficinas de la banca comercial de una entidad financiera de la ciudad de Manizales En el presente trabajo de investigación de tipo aplicada, se tomaron los conceptos de liderazgo transformacional y el desempeño organizacional con el objetivo de establecer su relación, para lo cual mediante la aplicación del cuestionario de Liderazgo Multifactorial MLQ a los gerentes y equipos de trabajo de 6 oficinas de la banca comercial en una entidad financiera de la ciudad de Manizales, Colombia, se obtuvieron los resultados respecto al estilo de liderazgo transformacional; de igual manera y con el fin de obtener la información respecto al desempeño organizacional, se tomaron los resultados de cada unidad de negocio a través de un indicador interno de la entidad financiera, para posteriormente realizar un análisis estadístico multivariado en la búsqueda de relaciones entre ambas variables. Como principales hallazgos se obtuvieron que el liderazgo transformacional se observa casi siempre en las actuaciones de los líderes de las oficinas evaluadas, de igual manera se evidenció que las únicas relaciones existentes entre el liderazgo transformacional y el Desempeño Organizacional, se presentan respecto a la categoría de Desempeño que califica el servicio la cual para el caso es una relación inversa. Esta ausencia de relaciones entre las demás categorías de ambas variables e incluso la relación inversa mencionada, se puede deber a la composición de la herramienta que se utilizó para la medición del desempeño, la naturaleza colectiva de medición del desempeño organizacional, o, incluso el sector al que pertenece la entidad caracterizado por su rigidez en políticas y procedimientos lo que se asocia a otros estilos de liderazgo.
dc.description.abstractIn this applied research work, the concepts of transformational leadership and organizational performance were taken with the aim of establishing their relationship. To do this, the MLQ Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire was applied to managers and work teams of 6 commercial banking offices in a financial institution in the city of Manizales, Colombia, the results were obtained regarding the transformational leadership style. Similarly, and in order to obtain information regarding organizational performance, the results of each business unit were taken through an internal indicator of the financial entity, to later carry out a multivariate statistical analysis in the search for relationships between the two variables. As main findings, it was obtained that transformational leadership is mostly always observed in the behavior of the leaders of the evaluated offices, in the same way it was evidenced that the only existing relationships between transformational leadership and Organizational Performance are presented with respect to the category of Performance that qualifies the service, that in this case is an inverse relationship. This absence of relationships between the other categories of both variables and even the inverse relationship previously mentioned may be due to the composition of the tool used to measure performance, the collective nature of organizational performance measurement, or even the sector which the entity belongs to, characterized by its rigidity in policies and procedures, which is associated with other styles of leadership.
