RP y CEa. (Texto tomado de la fuente)
dc.description.abstract | The characterization and identification of the physical, chemical and biological properties
of the soil represent a high demand in time and resources that limit the number of
samples that can be representative for this purpose. Measurements of the apparent
electrical conductivity of the soil (CEa) carried out with electromagnetic induction
equipment have made it possible to establish relationships that can replace some
conventional methods for the determination of some soil properties. The spatial variation
of CEa depends on soil factors such as texture, moisture content, porosity and cation
exchange capacity, among others. In the Experimental Center of the National University
Sede Palmira (CEUNP) an experiment was established in three soil consociations, in
order to identify relationships between moisture content (CH), texture and resistance to
penetration (RP) with the CEa of the soil. The soils varied in CH moisture content from
17% to 42%, sand content from 26.58% to 84.58%, clay content from 9.42% to 49.02%
and silt content from 0% to 34 %, while the CEa fluctuated between 1 to 115 mS / m.
Maximum RP values range from 3 to 6 MPa, at depths of 25 to 35 cm. The results
showed that in soils with low CH its correlation with CEa is weak and soils with higher CH
correlate better with CEa. Regarding texture, the greater the spatial variability the
relationships with CEa are strong, finally no correlation was found between PR and CEa.
