El grupo de un nudo

Abstract

En este trabajo se estudia el grupo de un nudo, es decir, el grupo fundamental del complemento de un nudo en S3, herramienta que se ha utilizado frecuentemente para dar solución a los problemas que plantea la teoría de Nudos. En el trabajo presentamos inicialmente, los conceptos fundamentales de la teoría de Nudos y el concepto de presentación de grupos por medio de generadores y relaciones. Se estudia la presentación de Wirtinger para el grupo de un nudo y se hacen algunas aplicaciones. / Abstract: In this paper we study the group of a knot, ie the fundamental group of the complement of a knot in S3, a tool that has been widely used to solve the problems of the theory of knots. In the present work initially, the basic concepts of knot theory and the concept of presentation of groups by generators and relations.
