Thesis work, a set of Dp and Dp¯ prompt systems and their charge conjugate (c.c.), inclusively produced from pp collisions at the LHCb experiment have been studied, to perform searches for singly excited charmed baryon spectroscopy. All analyses presented in this work use a data sample recorded by the LHCb detector in 2011 and 2012 years, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb−1 of pp collision data at √ s = 7 TeV. The D mesons are selected through the decay modes D0 → K−π + and D+ → K−π +π +. A set of selection criteria is applied to obtain D meson and proton candidates, according to the track information provided by the components of the LHCb detector. Once this procedure is carried out, a delicate background rejection study is performed maximizing a puritysignificance signal function for the selection of the charmed baryons candidates. Reconstructing the invariant mass spectrum for M(D0p) + c.c., M(D+p) + c.c., M(D0p¯) + c.c. and M(D+p¯) + c.c. data samples a the set of peaks is observed, where a simultaneous extended binned maximum likelihood fit is performed in order to extract the masses and widths parameters values of these peaks which some of them are associated with possible new structures. For D0p data sample, a new structure near the threshold with a mass value of ∼ 2840 MeV/c2 is observed. This structure is consistent with the signal of a Λc excited baryon state. For the D+p sample, an evidence of a structure with a mass value ∼ 3060 MeV/c2 is found, consistent with a Σ++ c excited baryon state. Connected with this structure, a hint with its isospin partner on D0p data sample is found. Measurements of their masses and widths values with their statistical and systematic uncertainties are reported. Additionally, the mass spectrum M(D0p¯) + c.c. and M(D+p¯) + c.c. have been studied, whereby performing a single extended binned maximum likelihood fit no evidence of any kind of structure was found in these samples.
