College professors are occupational voice users who relied on their voice for doing their jobs. Companies and educational institutions must propose programs focused on promoting vocal health and preventing voice problems. These programs should include organizational strategies to reduce vocal demand in professors. Currently, tele-practice can be used to support vocal health programs to improve the quality of voice in college professors. The objective of this study was to determine the effect on vocal demand response through the application of a workplace vocal health promotion program for college professors. The study design was pre-post intervention for two groups (intervention vs no intervention). The Workplace Vocal Health Promotion Program included 4 sessions (one per week). Three main topics were included: vocal hygiene, vocal training, and adjustments of teaching-learning process to avoid voice misuse inside the classrooms. At the beginning, twenty-six participant were recruited; but only 15 professors finished all the sessions. Our results indicate an improvement in vocal quality, improving in the acoustic parameters and reduction in vocal fatigue, sore throat and hoarseness and reduction of 2.5% in time dose. The no-intervention group showed no difference in those measures.
