Abstracf In this paper, I will analyze the main aspects of confidentiality in arbitration, without the intent to provide a definitive or exhaustive analysis on the topic. The analysis will be conducted, by comparing and exploring what the main arbitration centers and the most important arbitral jurisdictions have done in this topic and how municipal courts have dealt with this issue. In a later section will discuss the principle of confidentiality in Ecuador to finally determine whether or not it is possible to publicize awards render by the Arbitral Centers and to develop the much needed arbitral jurisprudence.
