Resumen
The aim of this research was to describe the understanding of the resonance concept, its recognition and use by systemic therapists. A qualitative methodology and a descriptive design were used. Six psychologists with Systemic Therapy training who work in clinical settings participated. For data collection, the semi-structured interview was used and the data analysis was conducted according to the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) procedures and protocols. The main results indicated that the resonance is understood as a bridge between therapist and patient and it is considered as a skill that develops gradually. The therapist through self-observation visualizes changes in himself and subsequently gives meaning to their experience.
