The objective of this paper is to seek a definition of the concept of economic regulation from the point of view of law, more specifically, from the administrative law and thus distinguish it from economic concepts, sociological or from other social sciences. It concludes with a definition that aims to describe the gender and the specific difference within the activity of the Public Administration and that is advertised as a new 'branch' or specialization of Administrative Law.
