Abstract

The remuneration rate in Colombia is an economic instrument that aims to reduce water pollution in the country, by observing the parameters BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and TSS (total suspended solids). The objective of this research was to analyze the implementation of the remuneration rate in Colombia for the period 2011 - 2013 , by reviewing the documents provided by the Environmental Authorities on the application of the tax where Study The pollutant load , Billing, collection and the impact of the implementation of the remuneration rate in Colombia. Which showed a lack of information on the implementation of the rate and the lack of interest by the authorities for reporting environmental information.
