Background: Aging is a natural process that depends on several factors, both intrinsic and extrinsic. Methodology: Explore the clinical features of photoaging and their relationship to different factors, such as origin. Observational, cross-sectional study with analytical component, in the outpatient population of Clínica Chía (Zipaquirá) and Hospital Universitario Barrios Unidos - Méderi, in Bogotá, during 2018-2019. A survey of attitudes, knowledge and practices, and taking of photographs, valued by experts to determine the degree of photoaging (Glogau scale); univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyses were carried out with ordinal regression. Results: 350 patients were included, the highest proportion was female; The majority of respondents work in closed environments (n=222), the sociodemographic variable mainly associated was age (p=0,000), other factors such as smoking, alcoholism, use of sunscreen, regular exercise and manifestations of sun exposure also presented an association with the progression of the scale (p<0,05). The adjusted models showed that practicing sports (OR 0.6 CI95% 0.3 - 0.9) and coming from Bogotá (OR 0.6 CI 95% 0.2 - 0.9) were protective factors and others such as smoking (OR 1.6 CI95% 1.0 - 2.6) were defined as risk factors. Conclusion: Sun exposure is a factor associated with changes related to photoaging, photodamage and photocarcinogenesis; however, other environmental factors are associated with the degree of photoaging such as cigarette, alcohol, sedentary lifestyle, the amount and age at which children were had.
