Artículo para optar al grado de Licenciado en Educación. Constructivism is a well known term in the field of pedagogy whose basic premise is to develop the inherent abilities of each student. In this article, a group of students who bore the problem child stigma was subjected to a pedagogical unit that was designed under constructivism principles. The first step was to elaborate a diagnosis of this group of students to identify their learning needs and then to design an intervention plan to satisfy such needs. The diagnosis showed the students were very active and they had a more kinesthetic learning style, therefore the intervention included motion as a teaching technique and used Total Physical Response (TPR) as the main teaching approach. Also, the skills chosen to work with were the productive ones because they demand an active participation of the students. Finally, students were assed with an oral group work where they had to create a video related to the topic of the unit. The results were positive, this kinesthetic approach increased student’s grades, improved their confidence to speak in a foreign language, and kept them engaged with the lecture. The following article will give a detailed account of the implementation process of this pedagogical unit.
