dc.description.abstractIn this report: the sixteenth CARICOM Heads of Government Summit is set to take place in Georgetown, Guyana. High on the agenda is the fate of the regional airline LIAT, the financing of CARICOM and the region's plans to tackle crime. As polling stations in St. Kitts/Nevis come to a close, Prime Minister Kennedy Simmonds and Opposition Leader Dr. Denzil Douglas are both confident of victory for their respective parties. Eugene Petty, Supervisor of Elections comments on whether there were any signs of electoral violence. Jamaican businesses to offer a full range of financial services to the Jamaican expatriate communities in Britain. An article in the cricketing magazine, Wisden Cricket Monthly which questioned the commitment of overseas born players to England's team, has stirred outrage amongst West Indian batsmen. The Robert Henderson article stated that black players for England lacked the commitment of an unequivocal Englishman. The General Manager, Derbyshire County Cricket Club, Reg Taylor comments on the issue.
