Abstract

Se trata del recorrido por los últimos días de Gérard de Nerval, antes de su suicidio en un callejón del viejo París. Un recorrido, también, desde la percepción del poeta de que el sueño es una segunda vida y de que los primeros instantes del sueño son un modo de morir. Lo que para él significaba atravesar el Aqueronte, a la vez la tentación de la muerte y el umbral de la locura. Un recorrido que sucede a partir de un memorial de sus desencuentros con la vida y con el París de su tiempo, tan distante del que ahora conocemos, recorrido junto a las reflexiones de Lezama y de quien escribe. Un poeta en el umbral de la derrota que, sin embargo, fue capaz de crear algunos de los mejores poemas de la literatura francesa y de poder ser considerado el mayor poeta del Romanticismo. This is the journey through the last days of Gerard de Nerval, before his suicide in an alley of the old Paris. Is also a journey, from the poet’s perception that sleep is a second life and that the first moments of sleep are a way to die.
