This article concisely describes, by way of an example, how the line of research known as “Social Mathematics”—with the introduction of the theory, Mathematics in a Science Context—supports a complete development of the student through the construction of integrated knowledge, social skills, and argumentative communication, as well as reflective, analytic, and critical attitudes with ethical values of respect, responsibility, and concern for the environment. All this leads to the student’s ability to behave with awareness and with scientific and technological points of reference in his social life.
