The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of productivist policies in the evolution of the academic profession through the academic groups and networks associated with new forms of the written production of knowledge. The methodology is based on interviews of academic members and leaders of two educational research groups: one in Brazil and the other in Mexico. We analyzed the effects mentioned in relation to writing produced in their educational organizations. We hope that the results obtained in the study improve the management of the quality and relevance of academic writing in academic and doctoral groups.
