Academic training on the subject of education for peace is to integrate education’s social competencies for life within a pertinent and efficient conceptual framework – as opposed to the current faction that fights violence. This implies to perfect new personal competencies. To achieve this, the following research question has been stated: How to educate for a peace culture that generates appropriate learning atmospheres for students? The object of study was defined as “the teaching actions for a pacifist culture”, and the action field included education for peace, human rights and emotional intelligence. The research was methodologically linked to the participatory socio-critic paradigm. The research was done with 36 teachers from the General Management Office of Industrial Technology Education (Dirección General de Educación Tecnológica Industrial, dgeti) of Durango, Mexico; the Durango Technological Institute (Instituto Tecnológico de Durango) and the National Polytechnic Institute (Instituto Politécnico Nacional).
