dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this article is to outline the importance of developing reading comprehension skills in Latin America – specifically highlighting the need to work on comprehension skills along decoding skills. A plausible strategy is proposed: to start with an early age teaching of a series of elements at the core of comprehension
(vocabulary, grammar, and complex spoken language skills),
with an emphasis on narrative abilities. | |
