dc.description.abstractThe Project that follows contains a proposal and the rationale of a methodology for the training and updating of Heads of Department, Administrators and Staff at the Universidad del Caribe in the application of Communications, Information and Technology. This would be included in the strategic plan and vision for 2012, to help the training of human resources. The theory frame review and analysis and the Universidad del Caribe specific situation, resulted in the investigation instruments. These instruments made possible to increase the participant’s interest and to review their previous ITC knowledge. It was also found different levels of knowledge and competences between the participants that proved the need off a permanent training methodology The methodology proposal suggests the formation of permanent workshops for all the personnel. The courses in Communication, Information and Technology will have different applications and various levels to suit the needs of the personnel from all the departments, in line with the objectives and necessities of the study programs, thereby satisfying the need for quality in Higher Education
