dc.description.abstract | The strategies implementation that enable continuous improvement organizations,
force them to search alternatives that best suit their needs, taking into
consideration the information technology development which will generate a faster
flow of information, helping so to minimize costs and to have a more efficient
production process so as a better control of activities at all levels of a company and
also to make fast decisions; for this is necessary to use of strategies
implementation such as Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and the
implementation of Systems Information.
This thesis focuses primarily on the design of a methodology to combine the
Business Process Reengineering with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to
help any organization in the definition and operation of its processes and flows
information, the implementation of the stages of planning and identification,
analysis and design, which are the first two stages of the proposed methodology.
This study was conducted in a food industry company, which has around one
hundred twenty four employers on which was detected as problematic, the lack of
comprehensive knowledge of their processes and their interaction with all its
departments, causing delays in the main process flow to be executed without the
required information , or the right time so as without intercommunication among
departments, because the absence of an adequate information system that
supports the integration of its activities.
In this analysis I have done a research from all company departments, starting
from the first hierarchical level analysis of the company, its environment and its
organizational structure, and then in a second hierarchical level, I analyzed the
general processes of each department to determine the main process flow and so
comply with the main objective of this thesis. | |
