Resumen
Unfortunately over the years, lagoons, estuaries and bays had become deteriorated as a result of human settlements, agricultural and industrial wastes. Guasave is also known as the agricultural core of Sinaloa. For crop protection organochlorine pesticides are used and the main risk of using these contaminants is the biomagnification trough the food web to humans causing health problems caused by the consumption of fish and shellfish contaminated with them. This study determined the concentration of organochlorine pesticides in the muscle tissue of Mugil cephalus. Pesticide analysis was performed using gas chromatography with an electron capture detector SHIMADZU® Model 17A. The Health Condition Profile of Mugil cephalus was determined analyzing the triglyceride, protein and glucose in the liver, gonad, stomach and blood plasma, as well as the total body weight. The organochlorine pesticides were the most frequent δ-HCH, dieldrin and methoxychlor. Dieldrin had the highest concentrations in the months of July-August and January-February (0.2359, 0.3555 mg / g respectively), while Methoxychlor the highest concentrations recorded between March-April (0.3033 mg / g). The Health Condition Profile showed the maximum value during November-December, while the Gonadic Index showed two periods one in March-April and the other between November-December. The Hepatosomatic index showed a downward trend throughout the year while the Estomach Repletion Index recorded the highets value between May to June. The highest level of triglycerides in blood plasma was recorded in the month of July-August with 483.75 mg/dL, while glucose recorded the maximum value of 205. 33 mg/dL, from July to August. From January to February the highest level of protein 29.94 mg / dL was recorded
