Resumen
Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) is proposed for determination of contaminants in brown shrimp (Farfantepenaeus aztecus), specifically heavy metals such as Cu and Pb. For the sample excitation will be used a pulsed passively Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, emitting at 1064 nm with 300 mJ pulse energy. The characteristic lines identification will be performed and also the study the temporal evolution of emission lines for Cu and Pb in order to obtain calibration curves, taking as reference calibrated samples. It will be also determined the detection limits for Cu and Pb and the results will be validated by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy which is based on the Official Mexican Norm (NOM-242-SSA1-2009)
