dc.description.abstractCICIMAR-IPN has done studies of Physical Oceanography at Puerto Escondido, B.C.S. While analyzing the current at the mouth of the lagoon, a periodic frequency that did not agree with tide or waves was recorded. We formulated a hypothesis that it was produced by an oscillation between the East and West coasts of the Gulf of California and obtained a strong agreement with the periodicity we had observed. 2
