Resumen
In this paper we present a detailed seismic zonation based on current zonation, using computational and signal analysis tools. We created a method for selecting seismic records, to ensure the accuracy of the results, because the Mexican database of strong earthquakes has got wrong information. With techniques such as response spectrum, Recurrence Plots, Fourier Transform and Hilbert-Huang Transform, we created signatures that characterize each seismic recording, providing features not currently in use. The zonation proposal is based on current zonation; coarse zonation was first created a 3 zones and fine zonation to find sub-areas. To get zonation we classified the seismic signatures using the ANN Fuzzy ART , then the gathered signatures of seismic stations was clustered with k-means, which yielded a seismic zoning map georeferenced. When comparing the current and proposed zonation, there was a rezoning, the proposed zones had lower average distances than current zonation. It was also shown that the response spectrum is insufficient for seismic zonation, also evidenced the importance of standardized orientations of seismic stations to be compared
