The investigation established to analyze labor and professional expectations that students demonstrate degree in Accounting from the ESCA-IPN ST to propose quality improvement activities related to their education. Methodologically it was decided to conduct a descriptive study with cross-sectional design with a focus essentially quantitative without neglecting important qualitative aspects.
From the literature review, the instrument was developed with support from a table of specifications. This consisted of a questionnaire of 60 reagents or items, which was reduced to 40 after three pilot filters. The dimensions explored were related to labor issues, both personal and school, and their parents and home, his views on labor issues and professional development linked to this race. The sample included 400 students, who at the time of investigation were still enrolled for study subjects of their existing curriculum.
The analysis of the results shows that there is a vision of value for the title positions aspiration qualitative merit, job scarcity, high competition for positions, requiring more preparation in particular languages, recognition of the presence of internal pressure and outside the country who determine the development of the race. On the other hand, the family culture and the educational level of parents, influence on issues such as desired contract type, and depth of the decisions they thought to be involved at a professional level, putting pressure on his vision of the profession.
The vision in terms of work related to their professional career is divided, and that at times it was observed that there is objectivity and are consistent with the present and future reality of it, but found that his aspirations exceeded in some respects to the talking reality or that there is ignorance of what it means to "live" a profession.
