dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Chilhood obesity is a pandemic without limits on race or sex, has increased dramatically in developed countries and developing countries. Mexico currently ranks first in childhood obesity. The aim o this study was to determine the changes in serum cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL,as well as determine the ICM in children 6 to 12 weeks. Samples of venous blood at baseline and 12 weeks of training, and measured for triglycerides, cholesterol and HDL, we determined the waist/thigh and compared between the two groups. The serum was processed by photocolorimeters techniques. Results: With regard to laboratory markers cholesterol, triglycerides (TGC), HDL and glucose in both groups showed decreses in sport is the first three indicators and increases in the past. As for the ICM in the soccer roup achieved significantly lower (p<0.01) from 1.7 to an average of 1.83 to 1.69 and the Tae Kwon Do can not be a significant decrease from 1.7 to an average of 1.65. Conclusions: On the ICM in the soccer group achieved significantly lower average of 0.14 cm and the group of the Tae Kwon Do the decrease is still less. Cholesterol decreased significantly in both groups slightly favoring the group sport of Tae Kwon Do, the case of triglycerides the behavior is quite similar to cholesterol. As for HDL also decreased theiraverage values in both groups between before and after training. The group managed to increase significantly football if the average value of gluose, while the other group remained practically. | |
