ANÁLISIS ÉTICO DEL TRATO A LAS PACIENTES CON OBESIDAD DE LA ASOCIACIÓN DE JUBILADOS DEL IMSS EN LA CONSULTA DE MEDICINA FAMILIAR

Abstract

The purpose of the investigation was centered in the observation and analysis about the treatment the patients with obesity receive from the familial doctors. It approaches the existing relationship between bioethics and medicine to study a complex problem such the treatment that doctors give to women with obesity to reach the purpose it started from qualitative methodology. The application consisted on the analysis of the speech and the hermeneutic method, through these, the obese female patients´ interviews from the Retired and Pensioners Workers form IMSS Mutual Help Association Were Interpreted also, questionnaires were applicated to familial medical doctors from IMSS clinic 41. The results obtained show the treatment to obese female patients is indignant from the bioethics and medicine approach. The obese female patients feel impotent and stigmatized before the criticism and bad treatment they receive at home, at work, in the society and from medical personnel. That´s why it is required to establish public policies oriented to the health which help the relationship between doctors and patient to avoid a greater emotional damage to obese female patients. This will be obtained with a bioethics training to familial medical doctors to improve their medical function.
