dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with aspects related to school administration and management and their possible conceptual intercrosses in the daily operation of the school that encompasses human, pedagogical and financial relations. The research aimed to identify design management within a public school in the State, the city of Ibirubá - RS, considering the theoretical and practical relationship between school management and administration. The research model used was descriptive qualitative research methodology, which was characterized as a case study. For data collection open questionnaires were conducted about what the respondents understood the concepts School Management, Educational Management and Democratic Management; the concepts and differences between School Management and Administration; Who are the school managers and the actions and / or strategies that they need to have within the school, and the results were analyzed and reported in this monograph of specialization. To support this study were used as a theoretical Paulo Freire (1996); MoacirGadotti (1992); Heloisa Lück (2002); Libâneo (2007) and others that deal with the theme. It was evident that to develop the work of school organization is necessary to promote democratic management in the school setting in the administrative, financial and educational dimensions, discuss and analyze the challenges, possibilities and limits of management experience with the school community and especially identify the key principles of a democratic and participative management. Therefore understand the changes that led to the democratic management school management, is crucial to understanding the concepts that are associated with this process.
