dc.description.abstract | In this work, it is presented a methodology for analyzing the insertion of energy
storage systems in electric energy distribution networks. This methodology consists
of modeling the current regulatory policy with its various topologies as input data, and
as output data, the maximum possible cost that the energy storage system may have
to be considered feasible by the potential investor. The proposed method allows the
validation of which energy storage technologies are feasible or not, and which
technological development they need to achieve considering the regulatory
framework in which they are inserted and through simulations with standard
distribution networks and using worldwide economical reference values. The main
contribution of the work is to consider the economic and regulatory dynamics and its
high flexibility in being applied in any region or country and thus propose new
regulatory frameworks to encourage the installation of energy storage systems. | |
